I have just escaped from a 12 year relationship and finally I can feel the wind under my wings again.

I have a wicked sense of humour and there's very little I don't know about horror, fantasy and all things darkly fantastic.

I'm not a posseur, I'm not some saddo who thinks he's Lestat and I don't want you nourish me with your life force ;-)

I'm just looking for people who are comfortable with not being mainstream and who are fun to be around for a while. Plus everyone knows that Goths are really the coolest kids (even at South Park Elementary) and that Goth girls are the hottest on the planet.

I've always said that my 'type' is tall, blonde and willowy, so it's ironic that I've just spent the past 12 years with a short 19-stone brunette. What I hope this makes clear is that, for me, looks aren't the most important thing but personality most certainly is.

I'm looking for a woman who has a good sense of humour, who is kind and caring, and who is confident and experienced enough to know what she wants. I've had enough of people who play games and lie, so honesty, openness and trustworthiness are paramount.

It also helps if you like blues and rock music, eating popcorn and snogging on the back row of the cinema, dancing wildy in the rain, will at least entertain the possibility of being seen on the back of a Harley and won't freak if I drag you to the odd science fiction convention.

I'm a big film buff (particulary Fantasy, Horror and Sci-Fi) so I'm afraid it's a case of 'love me, love my HD Widescreen TV and DVD collection' - and it's true that I can speak a smattering of Elvish and Klingon (so sue me) - and I have been known to get tearful (in a manly way) at old B&W movies.
